Are we really saving??

I was at the store the other day looking at toilet paper. Yes I know sounds funny but I was standing there looking at the different prices and wanted to get this pack of four rolls for 99cents but it was all out. So I started looking for the next best thing and found a four roll pack for 1.99 and then there was a four pack for 2.00. Now me being me I wanted to save money so I went for the pack that was 1.99. Got home and started thinking hmm really I payed over 2.00 for that pack after tax and so the next day when I was at the store again I stopped to check something on the four pack that was 2.00 and the rolls were double what the rolls were on the pack I had just bot the day before.
Its so funny to me how we fall for that same thing again and again as long as it says 3.99 and not 4.00 its a better deal. Like that one penny is going to save us so much. OK you could say well if you add it up over a year we do but do we really??? Think about it for a minute that pack I got didn't have as much as the pack that was 2.00 to start. So what ends up happing is you go and by more toilet paper and spend more in the long run. So with all this in mind always look at what your really getting in the long run how much your really saving.
Also looking for coupons you might just find that you can buy the name brand and save more then buying that cheep stuff that you run out of and have to go back and SPEND MORE!!!!!
